I have no more exams this week and a free day today, so I decided to get to writing this. Any feedback on this article I wrote? I try not to take my articles I write too seriously. Seriously, they published my piece n Market Day last year. I swear they didn't read it because it was pretty much me bashing it. It was funny.

I feel as though this needs better structure and more relevance to the topic...

"They should give just give us the keys to this place," an unhappy few complain every Friday morning at 7:55am. We never know they will, but the music department is punctual to a fault, that fault being (unintentionally) locking students out of the music room. We laugh, we play, we sit out in the cold waiting for 15 minutes- it's all part of the music making process. At the beginning of this year, it was decided that instead of the traditional (INSERT OUR SCHOOL) Orchestra, we were going to split off into the Symphonic Band and a String Orchestra. Realising a while back that we string instrumentalists were outnumbered 3:1 by the wind and brass sections, it made a lot of sense to me  despite being upset by being separated from my wind instrument-playing friends. This year, we turned out to be your typical atypical string orchestra with our sole viola, guitar and cello section that outnumbers first violins. Throughout the year, we've through some decent, the two most notable ones being dubbed the "Vehicle-Related Pieces". With musicians ranging in skill level from beginners to people who could probably teach the beginners (our amazing first chair first violin, vanzdragon-227), we faced challenges together almost as a family, the biggest one being managing to prevent our brains exploding upon receiving new music (Remember the Russian Sailor Dance?). We were able to play at the (INSERT MY SCHOOL AND OUR MALE COUNTERPART) Stations of the cross and well as the Music Performance Evening this year, stopping at nothing to make it through with a good performance, unlike some groups (Just kidding, Symphonic Band. You're out other half. You rock and I'm not just writing that because I'm your xylophonist/timpanist). All in all, it was a good year for this new (or possibly not new because we had a chamber orchestra last year) group in the school and, if you know any string instrument players in the school, except maybe cellists because they're probably already in the group, tell them if they need a fun way to spend Friday mornings, look no further than OT1.

Ehemmm is that a hint hint for me to teach? XD Good job! I wrote a piece once on Junior Orchestra, but it kinda sucked when the magazine team ended up editing some of the funny stuff out :( So just warning you.

But it's really funny! I like it! :D
